The two men suspected of robbing the Citizens Bank of Weir Thursday have been caught.
According to Sheriff David Groves suspects Derrick McDonald and Roland Ross, both out of Tulsa, were arrested in Webb City, Mo.
The two men were found in a home in Webb City, by Webb City police officers after being identified by the stolen 1998 gold Sunfire and as the men in the description by a city employee. The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, along with agents from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation responded to the Citizen’s Bank of Weir, located at 109 East Main in Weir, Kansas, at 1:17 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2011, after receiving a 911 call that the bank had been robbed.
McDonald and Ross took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.
Late Thursday night, a Cherokee County District Judge signed an Order of Detention for the two suspects, ordering them to be held without bond.
Both men are currently being held in the Webb City Jail.
