Sandra Fisher, 47, of Scammon, Kan., formerly of Chetopa, died at 10:01 p.m., Sunday, November 21, 2010, at St. Johnís Regional Medical Center in Joplin.
She was born March 14, 1963, in Oswego, Kan., to Harold and Carol (Peetoom) Johnson. She grew up and attended schools in Chetopa and Welch. She had worked as a caregiver for SKIL until she became ill.
She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Chetopa and was currently attending the Community of Christ Church in Scammon. She enjoyed knitting, working on the computer, house decorating, fishing and caring for her animals.
She and Paul Fisher were married November 1, 1998, in Scammon. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include, parents, Harold and Carol Johnson Chetopa, Kan.; two sons, Raymond Thompson Chetopa, Kan. and Derrick Thompson Scammon, Kan.; one grandson, Alex Thompson; three sisters, Becky Jury Columbus, Kan. Jennifer Linton Granby, Mo. and Melanie Short Oswego, Kan.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa. The Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa is in charge of arrangements.
