ERIE — The Galena Bulldogs flattened the Erie Red Devils Friday night, ripping them 54-7.

Erie scored just one touchdown, in the first quarter, before being outscored 21-7 in the first, 14-0 in the second, 13-0 in the third and 6-0 in the fourth.

Galena head coach Beau Sarwinski said despite the score, there were places his team could have done better.

“We were able to come out and play aggressive,” he said. “(But) We were flat to start the game.

“We were able to overcome some early mistakes and do what we do, (but) we have to continue to improve in our communication on the offensive line and backfield.”

The Bulldogs hammered the Red Devils for 365 yard rushing and just 36 yards passing.

Tyler Vancleave led rushing with 188 yards rushing.
